The Tragedy
On December 25th, 1981, on his way back from pilgrimage, Amjad Siddiqi’s life took a drastic turn. He was involved in a car accident that resulted in a severe spinal cord injury. The impact of this was that his body was left paralyzed from the chest down. Despite undergoing extensive medical treatments, there was no sign of relief and ultimately Siddiqi was forced to accept that this was his newfound reality. This devastating incident thrusted Amjad into a world of physical limitations and challenges, forcing him to confront a new reality and embark on a journey that would require extreme willpower and resilience.
World Tour
After receiving treatment and rehabilitation, Amjad Siddiqi decided to continue his normal life. In order to help find a cure and understand more about his illness, he decided to embark on an adventure that is unheard of for a wheelchair user, Amjad Siddiqi announced his world tour of 52 countries. During this world tour, he visited hundreds of rehabilitation centers around the world and voluntarily offered himself to be experimented on to help find a cure for spinal chord injuries, during which he underwent more than 30 surgeries most of which often put him in life-and-death situations. He also met numerous higher dignitaries and officials from different countries during this world tour and represented Pakistan on the global stage. During his travels, he advocated for the rights of the disabled. His tireless efforts have earned him recognition in global media as well as a champion of inclusivity and so he was given the titles of ‘’One in Millions’’ and ‘’Man on a Mission’’.
Entrepreneurship
Amjad Siddiqui’s entrepreneurial journey is a testament to his unfathomable willpower. After being fired from his Job in the banking sector in Saudi Arabia due to his disability, Siddiqi embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by selling Towels from shop to shop, after immense struggle, he grew his business into Importing various commodities with a very wide range spanning from textiles to even aerospace from all around the world and selling them to Wholesalers and Distributors and this developed into a thriving Trade Business. He then set up multiple Manufacturing Units in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Through strategic partnerships and innovative approaches, he navigated complex market dynamics and established a robust network of businesses. Amjad’s business not only generated economic prosperity but also provided employment opportunities, contributing to the socio-economic development of the region. His entrepreneurial endeavors exemplify the transformative power of determination and hard work.
Philanthropy
Amjad Siddiqui’s philanthropic endeavors epitomize compassion and altruism, transcending boundaries to uplift humanity. As one of the founding and executive members of MAP Welfare Trust, he actively participated in initiatives to provide free healthcare services, this includes the establishment of free primary healthcare clinics across six cities in Pakistan by MAP and the establishment of 2 state of the art dialysis centers that offer free of cost dialysis to all patients in need by Siddiqi himself. His selfless commitment extends to his pledge to donate his body parts posthumously to aid those in need. Amjad’s unwavering dedication to philanthropy and tireless advocacy for the marginalized have transformed countless lives and earned him widespread recognition as a beacon of hope and inspiration.

Another medium through which Siddiqi has now inspired the populace is in the form of a book. Through his book “Dard Ka Safar,” Siddiqui intricately immerses readers into his life, from offering them an insight into the painstaking treatment of loved ones and society after his disability along with the tough decisions Siddiqi had to make that made him the man he is today. Endorsed by literary icons such as Amjad Islam Amjad and Javaid Chaudhary, Siddiqui’s literary prowess resonates deeply, garnering acclaim and accolades. His candid prose navigates the depths of vulnerability with grace, inspiring readers to confront their challenges with courage and determination. As an author, Siddiqui’s legacy extends beyond his words, serving as a guiding light for those navigating the complexities of life.

He began speaking to inspire others suffering from all sorts of disability, Soon Siddiqi was told his story was not only an inspiration for the disabled but for any and every able-bodied person that is always complaining about life or rather being ungrateful. Siddiqi has always posed the Unanswerable question “ If I can do it, then why can’t you?’’. From facing life-altering accidents to navigating the challenges of severe disability, Siddiqui shares personal experiences that resonate deeply with audiences. His journey from adversity to triumph serves as a powerful testament to the human spirit’s resilience.
